Breakfast Smoothie
We make this a few days a week in addition to our breakfast – it is super delicious and very healthy! This serves 2 people (about 10 oz cups per person).
Ingredients:
- 1 banana
- 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup kefir
- 1 cup spinach or kale
- 1-2 tablespoons PB2
- 1-2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
- 1 tablespoon chia seed
Directions:
Put all ingredients into blender and blenderize (it may not be a real word, but you all get the idea)! Enjoy! You will notice that there are ranges for the PB2 – I gage this based upon what type of a workout I will be doing that day. If I know that I will need a little extra protein in a day, I use 2 tablespoons, but if not, I only use 1 tablespoon.
